A three-day class for Autism Spectrum Disorder and other Developmental Disorders will be held June 5 at the PLAEA Office in Pocahontas.
- Learn the characteristics of Autism Spectrum Disorders and be able to define the Autism Spectrum Disorder categories, including how these characteristics relate to other Developmental Disorders.
- Identify ways in which students with ASD may learn differently than other students and determine classroom supports that are in alignment with individual student need.
- Explore visual supports, appropriate communication strategies, & appropriate behavior strategies for learners with Developmental Disorders.
