Upcoming Math Workshops

  • Number Talks:  This will be a two day workshop where we will work through the “Number Talks: Whole Number Computation” book (purchased with registration).  Learn more about how to use Number Talks, and participate in discourse and practice.  
    • This workshop is for any AEA or LEA educator.  
    • Attend both dates:  December 10, 2024 AND March 11, 2025
  • Numeracy Project Day 2:  The long awaited Day 2 of Numeracy Project is here!  Bring your NII, bring a complex student, bring your questions!  We will spend the day diving deeper into the math, including how to: intentionally provide learning opportunities to support students who struggle with mathematics; Understand how skills from multiple stages can be connected and taught together; Explore how intentional selection of skill codes allows for differentiation opportunities; and Identify opportunities within instruction where progress monitoring can occur without being on a rigid schedule 
    • Must have attended a Numeracy Project Day 1 training to attend Day 2
    • Two date offerings: December 16, 2024 OR April 28, 2025
  • Fact Fluency & Number Sense: Engage in activities to understand the importance of number sense, learn why basic facts are so important and how to teach them, and leave with a list of games to provide your students with an opportunity to practice!
    • This learning opportunity is open to any AEA or LEA educator who wishes to attend.
    • March 3, 2025
  • Numeracy Project Day 1: Deepen your understanding of the best practices in mathematics instruction, learn more about your role in MTSS and the use of the Numeracy Project materials to guide instruction for SDI or Tier 2 and 3 Interventions. 
    • This learning opportunity is geared toward K-12 special education teachers and math interventionists providing Tier 2 and 3 interventions, however, any AEA or LEA educator may attend.
