Chronic Absenteeism Workshop coming in April!
Who: Admin or Leadership teams, counselors, teachers or anyone else interested
What: A one-day workshop to support districts in lowering chronic absenteeism rates by discussing barriers, root causes and potential solutions.
When: April 15, 2025
Where: PLAEA Pocahontas - Room: Black Hawk
Why: Because the most recent federal data shows that in the 2020-21 school year, at least 14.7 million students nationwide were chronically absent- almost double pre-Covid-19 numbers. Chronic absence can translate into students struggling academically. We know that students with Low SES, students of color, and students with disabilities are disproportionately affected by absence from school (Attendance Works) AND we know this is fixable! Join us to learn how!
